Story Written by Ella Roth, Andrew Waldman, & Maci Wert
It all began in “May”! That is the month of our traditional voyage to our “Aunt Rhody’s” house. This year brought some unusual events. Along the way, we saw a “Mississippi Alligator” that chased us. Slow as it was, that alligator brought us to a “Happy Farmer”. At the farmer’s barn, we heard music and joined the dancing with the “Minuets: 1,2,3”
During our unexpected visit with the farmer, we discovered that he was also a mad scientist. He was creating a “Perpetual Motion” machine that helped him to do all his work planting, watering, and harvesting his crops. While he was demonstrating how the machine works something went terribly wrong. A wind storm began; the guests could hear a “song blowing in the wind”. The wind continued to blow so hard that we could barely hear the farmer saying “O Come Little Children”. We were so excited that they ran like “Gavotte” to investigate the machine. Unfortunately, we broke the machine! Together we had to work hard, as you can hear us using an “etude” to hopefully fix the machine.
Working hard to repair the machine, we got so hungry that the farmer could hear our tummies rumbling. So he called in chef “Andantino” to prepare a meal. When the chef entered, he replied “I have just the recipe for your children, my famous cheesy pasta “Allegretto”.
After their pasta, we had so much energy that we decided to not just “Lightly Row” but race a boat across the farmer’s pond. On the other side of the pond, we finally reached Aunt Rhody’s house and we were so happy we danced & sang with joy “Allegro”. As the night fell upon us we relaxed around a campfire & all the neighbors told stories of “Long, Long Ago”. While everyone listened, we roasted “Mississippi Hot Dogs”. And at last we said good night, to the “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Stars”.

Athena Tolentino
Athena Tolentino was invited to play at her 1st grade teacher's wedding on May 24, 2008. She played during the candle ceremony and her picture was used by the West Shore School District as the cover of the District's school year calendar. This is after only two years of playing with Miss Leah and Miss Angela. Congratulations Athena!
