The purpose of the Capitol Area Piano Chapter (CAPC) is to help the Suzuki piano teachers provide performance opportunities larger than would be possible for single families and single-teacher studios. Each year there is typically one formal concert (often with a chamber orchestra) at a local concert hall, and one music-marathon benefitting children's charities. The CAPC has also provided partial scholarships to Suzuki institutes for selected students.
