Christine Danielewicz

Piano

Christine Danielewicz has been teaching music in her Camp Hill studio since 2003. Her music education began at the Villa Maria Conservatory of Music in Erie, Pennsylvania, and she continued private instruction in the studio of Erie’s Lillian Martin. She also appreciated the opportunity to study with concert pianist Sam Rotman at the D’Angelo Department of Music before pursuing her studies in Elementary Education at Mercyhurst University in Erie, where she graduated summa cum laude with Bachelor of Arts degree. A few years after relocating to Central Pennsylvania, Christine connected with the CPSA and has enjoyed learning with and from the CPSA teachers while participating in the music marathons and concerts with the association, as well as serving as a past CAPC secretary.

Mrs. Danielewicz is also a member of the Music Teachers National Association, including the state and local chapters. In the Capital Area Chapter, she has served as recording secretary and program chair, and she has conducted festival workshops for students and professional development programs for teachers. She has received grants from the MTNA Foundation to study techniques for preventing and healing repetitive strain injuries and from the Loran Olsen Endowment Fund to develop creative arts programs using multicultural music and dance. Christine has offered music and creative arts experiences for international students from North America, Asia, and the Middle East. Among the guest artists contributing their talents to these programs are Johannes Dietrich and Marie-Aline Cadieux (Duo Terlano), Janelle Frances (formerly a worship leader for ABWE’s international conferences), Philip Drake of Mount Lou San Bible Camp, and Kirsten Kline of Reverence Dance Studios. Christine has also taught preschool music from around the world at the Community Classroom in Shiremanstown, PA. Currently, she teaches English language development/ESL in the Central Dauphin School district. She delights in studying and sharing the common elements of teaching oral, written, and musical languages with her students, colleagues, and the community.
